
Next, comes defining the approach by which victory will be achieved. Once you know where you want to go, you need to create a map to get there. That map must be imprinted in the minds of every participants along the way. Designers can literally make the map real.

STEP BACKGROUND The tri-flame logo and the first poster for San Francisco's 2012 Olypic Bid were designed by renowned graphic artist Primo Angeli. Primo created a number of poster ideas representing his vision of the Olympics in San Franciso. He then presented them to Cribbs and Tharp. STEP OUTCOME The poster (below) was the final selection.
Mr. Tharp incorporated Primo's tri-flame logo into the logotype (above) he designed for the poster program.
